Orange You Glad I Didn’t Say Banana

Today’s card reminds me of the grade school kid knock, knock joke.
Knock, Knock

Orange Thank YouReally, it’s an adorable Thank You Card.
I love the vintage leaf frills in the background and the
gold thread peaking out under the orange slices.
The card base is Old Olive with a layer of Tangelo Twist.
We stamped THANK YOU from the Apple of  My Eye stamp set
with Memento ink.  The frills background from the First Sight
stamp set with Old Olive ink.
The orange slices were stamped with Tangelo Twist (stamp off once)
and then punched out with the 2″ circle punch.
I wrapped the Gold Thread around my fingers 4 or 5 times
and attached to the back of one orange slice with dimensionals.
Attach the orange slices to the card front.

I even decorated the inside of this card — so cute.
Orange Thank You Inside
I stamped the “You’re the Sweetest” with Memento ink and
the orange slices again with Tangelo Twist ink (stamp off once
each time you stamp).

I think this is a great Thank You card.
I have a couple in the mail already.

Don’t forget this week’s WEEKLY DEALS — time is running out.

You’ve Got the World on a String

You’ve got the world on a string.
Isn’t that just a perfect saying.
I think today’s card would be perfect
for those teenagers in your life.
They are on top of the world and everything
is about them right now.
How could life be any better!!!!
Balloon Birthday
Isn’t this a fun color combination.  Real Red for the card base.
Across the middle is a layer of the new Shine On specialty designer
paper — it’s thick kraft paper and works great for boxes and
it also looks great on this card.
The banners up in the right corner are Bermuda Bay, Real Red and Kraft.
The globe image is from Going Global.
It’s one of my favorite stamp sets in the Occasions Catalog,
which has surprised many of my stampers — it’s not my usual style
but it definitely speaks to me.  The image is stamped on
Bermuda Bay card stock with Bermuda Bay ink and then
punched out with the 2″ Circle Punch.
Did you check out those fun balloons.  They are from the
Balloon Celebration stamp set and…..
YUP, you guessed it, there is a coordinating punch
called Balloon Bouquet Punch.  It makes it quick and
easy to add balloons to all your birthday card.
Use the Bermuda Bay marker to draw the balloon strings.

Bloomin’ Love Flower Style

The Bloomin' Love stamp set is such a great
Valentine's Day stamp set but I told my stampers
to think outside the box.  No frills, no pink, we
would do something completely different with this set.
It works great for birthdays or just to say HI to a friend.
Today's card does just that — send it to a friend
to just say HI, I'm thinking of you.
Friends FlowersThe card base if Basic Black with a layer of Real Red.
Next I used the It's My Party designer paper stack.
If you haven't ordered this yet, YOU HAVE TO.
It is the best designer paper Stampin' Up! has
ever offered.  I love it.  There is so much paper
to work with and so many different designs.
It's NOT just for birthday.
I stamped the flower images from Bloomin' Love
using Memento and Real Red inks.
I just stamped randomly on the Whisper White card stock.
I punched Basic Black card stock using the
Washi Label Punch, stamped "FRIEND" with
VersaMark ink and White embossing powder.
I used the Bloomin' Heart flower framelit to cut
out a Real Red flower, attached to card front with
a Glue Dot and added a White Perfect Accent.
I added Whisper White card stock to the inside
of the card and stamped three red flowers
in the lower left corner.
