On the Ninth Day of Christmas

On the Ninth Day of Christmas…
Everyone is getting anxious and stressed out.
I think I have one more quick shopping trip today and then I'm done.
How about you — are you getting close?
Today's gift is a fun little treat.
I seem to be in a snowman theme this year.
Snowman Hat Candy Holder
This cutie was fun to make.
I cut two black circles with the Circle Framelits.
I glued the circles together to make it stronger.
Next I cut a black strip that is 4 1/4" x 11" — score down the long edge at 1".
Make cuts about every 1/2" up to the 1" score line.
Adhere the short edges of the strip together forming a tube.
Fold all the cut tabs towards the center — put glue all around
and attach to the circles.  I set a punch on top to help hold it down
for just a minute or so to make sure it stuck good.
I wrapped a 1 1/2" strip of designer paper around.
I used the Peaceful Pines stamp set and Garden Green ink for
the tree and cut out with the coordinating Perfect Pines Framelits.
Attach the tree to the front of the top hat over a
Silver Doily — of course I used dimensionals.
I stamped the Christmas Cheer from the Cheer All Year stamp set.
I put candy in a Cello Bag — tied with the 1/8" Striped Ribbon
and added the banner.

What a fun treat to receive.

On the Eighth Day of Christmas

On the Eighth Day of Christmas…..
I don't know about you but I give out plenty of gift cards for presents.
I want those cards to be like a present.
Today's gift is a card and gift card holder all in one.
Snowman Gift CardThis snowman is quick to make and it makes it fun to receive that gift card.
I used the note card for this — they come in a package of 20 and envelopes
are included so it's a great deal.
First I rounded all four corners with the Project Life Corner Round Punch
I used the Softly Falling embossing folder on the front of the card.
I used the 1/2" Circle Punch to snip out just a bit on the left side of the
card to put the ribbon through.
The eyes were punched out using the 3/4" Circle Punch — I added
the highlights with the White Gel Pen.
For the nose, I started with a piece of Tangelo Twist card stock
that was 1 1/4" x 5/8" and cut it in half on a diagonal (I got two noses from one piece).
I glued those on with the Fine Tip Glue.
Snowman Gift Card Inside
For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock
that was 1 3/4" x 3 3/8" — round the bottom two corners.
I stamped "SNOW WAY!" and "Merry Christmas!" both from
Snow Place stamp set with Lost Lagoon ink.
I used the snowflakes from the Snow Place stamp set and used
Soft Sky ink.  I put glue on the bottom and two sides (don't put
glue on the top).

Just like that you are ready to insert your gift card.
Check that off you list of things to get done.

On the Seventh Day of Christmas

Today's little gift would be perfect in a stocking.
Three little chocolate nuggets — not too much candy,
just a taste.
Nugget SnowmanThis little guy is so fun to make.
I used mailing labels to wrap around the chocolate nuggets.
I punched 1/4" circles from Black Glimmer Paper
and attached with glue dots.
For the snowman's face I used a Black Marker to
ink up just the face of the cute snowman from the Snow Place stamp set
and stamp in the center of the label before wrapping around the nugget.

I stamped the scarf, hat and holly berries and cut out with
the coordinating Snow Friends Framelits and
attached to the face nugget with glue dots.

I made a little box to put the nuggets in
and slid it all into a medium cello bag (4" x 6"),
fold the edges of the bag over and tie the top
with ribbon.

The recipient will love this little treat.
