Stampin’ Sisters Retreat 2025

This weekend was our 19th Stampin’ Sisters Retreat 2025!! My sister, Tina Rappe and I hosted a full weekend for 77 amazing ladies. We made 1 project Friday night, 5 projects Saturday, and 1 project Sunday morning.

Our theme this year was SQUEEZE THE DAY!! Tina created this adorable lemonade stand and all the decorations were yellow. It was so cheery and fun!!
Tina and I took a class last April and made these adorable Squeeze the Day Truck signs and it was perfect decor for the weekend.

When the doors opened Friday night, everyone ran looking for spot for the weekend. They were greeted with this adorable yellow corduroy tote bag with their name on it. The tote bag was filled with all their projects for the weekend. They also received a water bottle with a tag holding a packet of lemonade and a straw with a tag matching the button on the bag. The button has a green truck full of lemons and a sign that says SQUEEZE THE DAY!! It was so cute looking around the room at all the yellow bags.

Everyone got settled into their spots and we welcomed all of our newbies (1st time attendees) and our team members in attendance.

We had 13 newbies this year (someone is missing from the picture).
It’s so fun to watch the newbies throughout the weekend!! They said they are definitely coming back next year.

We had a total of 20 team members join us this year (1 is missing from the picture and 1 did a kit in the mail). Our team members are so awesome, I loved hanging with them all weekend.

Project 1

We did one project set Friday night – an 8″ x 8″ framed art that was so adorable. They also made a set of 4 cards and a small gift box. They all used the Mixed Media Florals Memories & More Card Pack. All three projects had minimal stamping, a little fussy cutting the flowers from the card pack pieces. It really was simple assembling, but all three projects are SO cute.

I’ll be sharing more projects over the next week, I hope you’ll join me each day.

Beautiful Butterflies Shaker Card

Today is the last day of Sale-a-Bration. This means it’s your last chance to earn the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set FREE. You can choose it FREE when you place a $60 order, then you can make this Beautiful Butterflies Shaker Card too.

This bundle has a hybrid embossing folder which means you can emboss and cut out the larger butterfly all at the same time. It is a fun technique to do but, it is not how this card was made.

Measurements:

Balmy Blue — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″
Fresh Freesia — 4″ x 5 1/8″
Basic White — 3 3/4″ x 5″; 3/8″ x 2 1/2″; 4″ x 5 1/4″
Bokeh Designer Paper — 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″; 5/8″ x 5 1/4″
Window Sheet — 3 3/4″ x 5″

1. Stamp the large butterfly on the designer paper with Memento ink, angling the butterfly a little.
2. Die cut the butterfly, saving the butterfly to use later.
3. Line up the designer paper in the Beautiful Butterflies embossing folder to add fun dots and little butterflies.
4. Lay embossed designer paper over the 3 3/4″ x 5″ Basic White and glue the butterfly onto the Basic White in the opening
5. Remove the designer paper
6. Adhere the Window Sheet to the back side of the embossed designer paper
7. Add the Foam Adhesive Strips to the Window Sheet around the butterfly opening, making sure there are no gaps. Add extra pieces of the Foam Adhesive Strips around straight edges of Designer Paper, so it holds firm to card base
8. Add Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix to the butterfly on the Basic White piece (pile it on the larger portions of the butterfly).
9. Peel backing of Foam Adhesive Strips.
10. Attach designer paper/Window Sheet layer to Basic White over the stamped butterfly (line up the stamped butterfly through the opening).
11. Trim off any Basic White that hangs over the Designer Paper
12. Adhere the layers to the Fresh Freesia piece and then to the card base
13. Stamp “Happy Birthday” with Memento ink on 3/8″ x 2 1/2″ Basic White
14. Angle cut ends and adhere to card front
15. Adhere a few little sequins from Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix to bling the card up
16. Stamp “Time to Celebrate with Memento on 4″ x 5 1/4” Basic White
17. Stamp half butterfly with Fresh Freesia
18. Adhere 5/8″ designer paper to bottom and adhere inside card

Pick a Season Easter Blessings

Today’s card is a beautiful Pick a Season Easter Blessings card. I used the
Sale-a-Bration Pick a Season Stamp Set, Storybook Life Stamp Set and Everyday Happiness Designer Paper and Everyday Arches Dies. I didn’t think I “needed” the Pick a Season Stamp Set but it is so much fun to make season trees. There’s a heart for love, anniversary or Valentine’s. These adorable Easter eggs are perfect to send some fun Easter cards, just a little different than traditional Easter cards. The Everyday Arches Dies provide a wonderful window for the tree full of eggs. I absolutely love the Everyday Happiness Designer Paper because it is has a wonderful textured looking but gives off a nice soft feel.

Pick a Season Stamp Set, Storybook Life Stamp Set, Everyday Happiness Designer Paper, Easter, Sale-a-Bration, Stamp with Peggy

The card is an offset gate fold, which is kind of fun. I scored the Lost Lagoon card base at 1 1/2″ and 5 3/4″. The arches and the greeting are centered to hang over the right edge fold.

This picture shows the left panel of the card open, giving you a better look at the right front panel.

Here you can see the inside with plenty of room for your message.

Measurements:

Lost Lagoon — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 1 1/2″ & 5 3/4″; 3 1/2″ x 5″; 7/8″ x 3 7/8″
Basic White — 4″ x 5 1/4″; 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″; 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″; 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″; 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
Everyday Happiness Designer Paper — 2 3/8″ x 5 1/8″; 1 1/8″ x 5 1/8″
