Project 5 — Christmas Note Card Gift

This was the final project for the day — two holiday note cards and a little box to keep them in.  Put this cutie in a cello bag tied up with a pretty bow and you have the perfect hostess gift for those holiday parties.  Who wouldn't love to receive this!
We all need a quick little thank you note during the holiday.
Project 5 Group
There is plenty of bling in this project.
We used the envelope punch board to make the box.
Box
We started with a 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" square of Garden Green card stock.
The left edge is lined up at the 3 1/8" mark on the rule — score the diagonal line and punch — turn the card stock 90 degrees, line the score line up with the point and score & punch.  Repeat on all four sides.  Cut the point off one side at the score line.
Scoring
Using your paper trimmer, line up the score line at 1/4" and score another line inside.
This makes the box thick enough to put the note cards inside.
Box Assembly
Use small spots of Fast Fuse or Tear & Tape Adhesive (super strong) to assemble your box.
Project 5-3
Then we stamped the tree from Peaceful Pines and cut out with the coordinating Perfect Pines Framelits and decorated the box.
Tree Card
The first note card has lots of gold bling.  The Perfect Pines Framelits even cuts tiny holes for the garland — love it.
Tag Card
The Chalk Talk Framelits cut this tag — one from Whisper White card stock and one from the Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum.  Stamp and cut out the tree and star.

Tomorrow I'll show you our Take Home Project.
They loved this one.

Project 4 — Snowflake Cards

We are onto Project 4 from our Fall Fest Retreat.
This is my favorite project of the day.
We used the Flurry of Wishes stamp set and the coordinating Snow Flurry Punch.
Add a little Silver Cording Trim and a Clear Plastic Gift Box and you are all set.
Project 4 Group
Such an elegant grouping.  Everyone received a package of the Silver Cording Trim.
They received the Snowflake Elements back on Project 2.
Project 4-1
The first card used the Boughs & Berries embossing folder and one of the Snowflake Elements that was sponged with White Craft ink.
Project 4-2
Card #2 featured the Curvy Corner Punch and the Wonderland Embellishments.
Have you tried the new Curvy Corner Punch — if not you really must, such a nice addition to your cards.
Project 4-3
The third card has Silver Embossing — you know you love to heat emboss.
It’s so easy but adds so much.
Everyone also received a package of the Gold and White Sparkly Ribbon.
Project 4-4
The fourth card in this group featured a little sponging and lots of snowflakes.
Everyone received a package of the Iced Rhinestones too.  That’s right, lots of giveaways for the day too.

All four cards and envelopes fit inside the clear box for a wonderful presentation.
Wouldn’t you like to make a whole bunch more for Christmas gifts.

Project 3 — Gift Holders

Fall Fest Retreat lunch is over — card swapping is over — now on to Project 3
This project is gift holders — many of us like to make a little gift for lots of friends and families during the holidays.  This project was perfect for that.
Project 3 Group
First we made an adorable fall decoration for a pint jar.
You could fill the jar with candies, soup mix, cookie mix — almost anything.
Project 3-3
We used the Leaflets framelits and embossing folders for those fun, colorful leaves.
Add a bit of burlap, linen thread and a clothespin and you are ready to fill the jar.
York Peppermint
Next was the Sketched Dot Bag that has a York Peppermint inside.
We sponged different shades of ink and decorated a fun tag for the front.
This is a great gift for co-worker desks.
Santa Candy Bar
The final project of this group was the Santa sticking our of the chimney candy bar wrapper.  This was definitely a favorite item for everyone.

Tomorrow I'll show you my favorite group.
