Santa’s Peeking On You

I love this card. The Hearth & Home Thinlit is awesome.
Santa PeakingI cut the cute Santa from the Home for Christmas designer paper and glued it to the back of the window. I stamped the trees from Happy Scenes with Garden Green ink.
The Real Red cardstock was embossed with the Brick Wall embossing folder.

Is Christmas in the Air?

The weather is cooler today.
Does that mean Christmas is in the air?
I don't think so, but for many of us it is time to start thinking and planning
our Christmas cards.  If you have a long list to send you it might take a while.
Remember, everyone loves to receive a Christmas card.
This card is for those extra special people in your life.
The ornament is beautiful (even if you might have to poke those little openings out).
It really is worth the time to make a few of these.
Foil OrnamentThe base of the card is Real Red — 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" — score at 4 1/4".
The Whisper White layer and the Holidays Fancy Foil layer are both 3 3/4" x 4".
I used the new Fine Tip Glue along the edges of the Vellum to adhere it to the Whisper White piece (add the glue on the back of the red stripes.
I stamped the Thinking of You from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set using
Versamark ink and White Embossing Powder.
Adhere the White/Red Stripe piece to the Real Red base with dimensionals extending the top edge so the card measures 5 1/2" tall.
The ornament is cut from the new Red Foil Paper using the Delicate Ornaments Framelits that just happen to coordinate with the stamp set (I LOVE BUNDLES).
I also cut out the full ornament from Whisper White cardstock to use behind the cut out foil ornament.  I adhered the two together with the Fine Tip Glue.  Don't forget to add your ornament hanger which was cut from Silver Foil Paper.  I tied a piece of Silver Cording through the hanger and attached the ornament to the card with dimensionals.

Acorns and Nuts

I told you last week how much I love this stamp set — Acorny Thank You.
It is so much fun and the possibilities are endless.
Fall AcornsThe base of this card is Early Espresso.
Next is a layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock and then I added a Very Vanilla layer.
I stamped the Nuts About You acorn in the lower right corner with Early Espresso ink.
I added a strip of the In the Woods designer paper on to a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock — wrap a piece of the In the Woods 3/8" Cotton Ribbon — Rich Razzleberry, around the designer paper piece.  I took a piece of Linen Thread and slipped under the Rich Razzleberry ribbon — tie a knot and then tie a bow.  Adhere to the card front.
On a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock I stamped the striped acorn botttom with Early Espresso ink — punch out with the coordinating Acorn punch.  Then stamp the criss cross acorn top with Cajun Craze ink and the polka dot acorn top with Daffodil Delight ink and punch out.  Adhere the acorn tops to the bottom with dimensionals.  Then adhere the acorn to the card front.  Tie two small bows with Linen Thread and adhere to the acorns with glue dots.
