Project 2 — Winter Wishes

Now we are on to the second project of our Fall Fest Retreat.
My sister, Tina, designed this one and it is a beauty.
This grouping focused on the Winter Wishes stamp set and the Snowflake Elements.
Both items are must haves.

I love this color combination — beautiful.

The skates created a little confusion — we used the masking technique.
When is the last time you did this.  Stamp the skate on a sticky note and cut out.
Next stamp a skate on the Very Vanilla circle, put the sticky note skate over the image you just stamped and then stamp the skate again a little higher and to the right.
Remove the sticky note skate and proceed coloring the laces.

The pine cones just grab my attention on this card.
Project 2-3 logo
This card has the front panel cut a bit short to give a little different look.
Project 2-4 logo
This card is the fun Triple Time Stamping Technique.
Start out lightly sticking three pieces of Very Vanilla card stock together.

Stamp the images all over the card stock.  Next separate the layers and attach the colored card stocks are shown in the card.  This techniques always creates a fabulous card.

After creating these four cards Tina decided we needed one more item

They didn't get to make this project at Fall Fest but they did have the opportunity to earn a kit to make one at home.  Isn't this gorgeous.  I LOVE mine.

Come back tomorrow to see more great projects.

Fall Fest Project 1

This is the first project that everyone made at our Fall Fest Retreat.
Porject 1 Group
A wonderful set of fall thank you notes.
There is lots of texture going on here and a fair amount of bling.
This card set featured the Vintage Leaves stamp set and coordinating Leaflet Framelits.  We made a few minor adjustments to cards designed by Selene Kempton (great cards Selene).

Some nice gold bling using the Gold Glimmer card stock.
The Bohemian Designer Paper gave just the right fall color scheme.
Project 1-2 logo
I love the cut out leaf on this one.
Project 1-3 logo
Check out the Boho Chic embossing folder, banners made with the Triple Banner Punch and a stack of leaves with Linen Thread.

Fall Fest

Yesterday's post was a bit rushed after the long day of stamping and a house full of kids.
Everyone arrived and the doors opened at 9:00 a.m.
As you could see yesterday, they were very excited.
We have a couple of brand new stampers — that's always a good time.
I hung up my new sign.

We welcomed the all of the "Newbies" with a special gift — a sticky note pad holder.
This is a beautiful addition to any work station.  I don't know about you but I go through a ton of sticky notes everyday.
Newbie Gift
Next it was time to honor our "All Timers" — that's not Alzheimer's, it's All Timers.
That would be anyone who has attended every Fall Fest Retreat that we've had (this was our 2nd year).  Here's what these wonderful stampers received.
All Time Gift
Thank you Amanda and Katie for this great gift idea.  There took mini Nilla Wafers, candy kisses and butterscotch chips and made cute acorn cookies and then decorated them up so cute.

Come back tomorrow to see the first project they made.
