Founders Circle Trip – Day 1

Oh my goodness — what an awesome day!
I left home at 5:00 a.m. yesterday to drive to Chicago for a flight to St. George, UT for Stampin' Up!ls annual Founders Circle Trip.
I am so grateful for this experience.  It's only been half a day but so far it is awesome.

Here's the sign that greeted us as the bus approached the Marriott Courtyard.
My Room
I have a whole hotel room to myself and it even has my name on the door.
Sarah and I
Check it out — this is Sarah Douglass — she's the interim CEO (she's the CEO while Shelli and Sterling Gardner are on a mission for their church).

Apparently I'm struggling with my blog posts while I'm gone — internet connection is not the fastest.  I thought this post would post and email out yesterday but I guess I was sleepy when I finished it and listed the wrong day.

Yesterday I went to Zion National Park with 13 other lovely ladies.
Zion Group
It was an absolutely beautiful ride there but the park was gorgeous.
I am SO happy that my husband "made" me do this trip.
Zion 3
We took a couple of very small walks to see the view a little better.
The rock formations were awesome.

I can't thank you enough for your love and support.

Lighthearted Leaves

Fall is in the air (some days anyways).
I wanted to share with you a new stamp set called Lighthearted Leaves.
It has some great images and gives you some fun almost whimsical leaves.
I received this card in a swap — team mate Amanda Waldhardt designed this one.
Amanda SwapThe card base is Mossy Meadow.  She added a layer of the In The Woods
designer paper.  This paper was hand painted and then printed — we got to see the whole process at convention — very cool.
She stamped the leaf with VersaMark ink and used Gold Embossing Powder.
Next she used markers to color in the leaf.
She tied a bow with many strands of the Gold Thread and adhered to the leaf stem with a glue dot.  The words are stamped with Mossy Meadow and cut out using the Tags & Labels Framelits — adhere to a larger Mossy Meadow Tag & Label and adhere to card front with dimensionals.  Nice job Amanda.

I'm on my way to my Founder's Circle Trip to St. George, UT today.  This is the trip ALL of you helped me earn by ranking in the Top 100 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators (five days and four nights of stamping fun and making new friends).
I have scheduled a little trip to Zion National Park to see all of the beautiful sights.
Keep watching my posts — I hope to share some of the fun with you over the next few days.  I am so thankful to each of you for your help in earning this dream come true.

Place an online order of $40 or more and I'll send you a little gift.

Halloween Fun

Halloween fun — that's what this card says.
There are a couple of new items on this card.
BroomsThe card base is Tangelo Twist — add a layer of Basic Black — 4" x 5 1/4".
Next is a layer (3 3/4" x 5") of the Happy Haunting Designer Paper — so cute.
I LOVE these new Spider Web Doilies — not into Halloween — turn it over and it can be a snowflake doily or better yet sponge on any color of ink and make a doily that coordinates with whatever you are making.

I used the If the Broom Fits stamp set — stamp with the new Archival Black stamp pad on Very Vanilla cardstock.  Then I used the 2 1/2" circle punch to punch it out.  I used the Circle Collection Framelits to cut out a little larger circle from Basic Black cardstock.  I stamped "If the Broom Fits, Ride It" with the Black ink on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I punched the banner ends with the Hexagon Punch — adhere to Black cardstock and trim the ends a little larger than the Very Vanilla.
Pretty quick & easy but so cute.
