It’s a Big Day!!

That's right, it's a Big Day — actually it's two big days.  Sale-a-Bration ends in tomorrow, so you only have 2 days left to get those fabulous FREE Sale-a-Bration products.  Today's card was made using the Big Day stamp set.
Big DayThis set works for all kinds of birthday cards — kids, female and definitely those wonderful masculine birthday cards.  You can "dress" this set up to make it fancy or stick with basic neutral colors for those men in your life.  Color the cake bright and cheery and the kids will love it.  This is a set everyone should have.

The base of this card is Rich Razzleberry with a layer of Strawberry Slush (just a reminder that Strawberry Slush is an In Color that will be retiring soon — retirement list comes out April 21st — so be sure you have enough cardstock and ink refills to last you for a very long time).  Next I added a layer of Sahara Sand Designer Paper and then a piece of Rich Razzleberry ribbon across that.

I added a 2 3/8" Scallop Circle with a 2" circle of Sahara Sand cardstock.  I stamped the cake on Whisper White cardstock and punched it out with the 1 3/4" circle punch.  I colored the cake stand with the Strawberry Slush marker and the ripples with the Sahara Sand marker, the candles with the Rich Razzleberry marker and the flames with So Saffron marker.

I stamped the Happy Birthday on Whisper White and trimmed the banner ends using the Hexagon Punch.  The colored Birthday with the Rich Razzleberry marker and added to card front with dimensionals.

Remember Tuesday, March 31st is your last chance to get a FREE Sale-a-Bration item.  Don't miss out.

Double Flower Basket

One more basket — this time we made a double basket.  This basket is big enough to gather some flowers for your May Basket — see we're planning ahead.
Double Flower BasketWe cut out two complete berry baskets and assembled them together to create one big basket.  I lined the inside with a piece of cardstock to give the basket a little more strength.

I used the Petal Potpourri stamp set and coordinating Medallion Flower Punch to add layers of flowers to the outside of the basket on both sides.  The basket is from Blackberry Bliss cardstock.  The flowers are stamped on Perfect Plum cardstock with Blackberry Bliss ink and on Whisper White cardstock with Perfect Plum ink.  I added Rhinestones to the centers of the Whisper White/Perfect Plum flowers.

I almost forget, I added some of the Sahara Sand Lace Trim to the top edge of the basket for a very "ladylike" basket.

Bunny Basket

Here's another fun project we made at the Big Shot Berry Basket Die Class.
Bunny BasketThis time we made the basket from Crumb Cake cardstock and the scallop trim at the top of the basket is Pool Party.  We added half of a doily to the top of one side.  We used the Polka Dot cardstock from the Irresistibly Yours DSP (remember only 4 days left to get this DSP package FREE — then it will be gone forever).  I sponged the bunny's body and paws of his feet with Pool Party ink.  I also sponged the center of his ears with Pool Party.  I added whiskers from pieces of White Baker's Twine that I gathered together and tied in the center.  The whiskers are put on the bunny face with a glue dot and a heart nose is put on top of them.  Of course I can't resist google eyes, they just make the bunny come alive.  Another great Easter basket to fill.
