Twitterpated Valentine

Since February is here it's time to start showing those Valentine Cards.  I have had a lot of fun with the Valentine stamp sets this year — there are some great ones.
Twitterpated
This card uses the You Plus Me stamp set, the Stacked with Love DSP and the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder.  Such a great coordination of products.  I kept the colors very traditional Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.  The "twitterpated" image was stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with White embossing powder.

Right-Tighty, Lefty-Lousey

When I first saw the Occasions Catalog one of the stamp sets I knew that I "didn't need" was the Guy Greetings stamp set.  Now, I know we all need masculine cards but this set did nothing for me.  Then I started to see samples with this set and I knew that I "needed" to order it.  I started playing with it and now I LOVE it.

Righty TightyThe base of the card is Night of Navy with a layer of Smoky Slate that I stamped "grease splotches" using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  I added the "Righty-Tighty, Lefty-Loosey" words wit Night of Navy ink.
This card has a fun fold — when you open the card here's the layer you see next.
Righty Tighty 1st layerThen open that middle section for the greeting.
Righty Tighty InsideI added more oil splotches and a row of tools to coordinate the whole card together.

I like this stamp set so much it may be next month's Stamp of the Month Class — we'll have to see.

Final Day of Leadership

Saturday was our final day of Leadership Conference.  It was a very emotional day.  Our opening general session of the day was a guest speaker, Jason Wright.
Jason WrightHe talked about how IMPORTANT it is to send hand written notes.  How appropriate for all of us since we make beautiful cards every day.  We need to start putting those cards in the mail with a little note.  We never know what tomorrow will bring so don't put it off.  I challenge each of you to go to your card stash (I know you all have them), pick out a card, write a quick note in it, find the envelope, address it and put it in the mail on Monday.  Show someone that you care.  I plan to put a couple cards in the mail as soon as I get home.

This was a great Leadership Conference.  Convention is the next big event — July in Salt Lake City.  I would love to have you join our team in Salt Lake City this summer.

Tomorrow I'll be back to posting card samples — be sure to come back and check them out.
