Lego Robot

Back in early November we had a family birthday party for two of my grandchildren.  My sister,Tina, couldn't be there but she sent cards with special gifts for them.  This is the one of the cards she made.  I love this card.  When the Annual Catalog came out in June I immediately fell in love with this Boys will be Boys stamp set.  I ordered it right away but still have not used it, but I will now.  I LOVE this card — it is so adorable.  Don't you think so?

RobotThe base of the card is Real Red with a layer of Basic Black and Whisper White that has been embossed with the Arrow embossing folder.  The robot was stamped with Memento ink and colored in with Blendabilities and cut out ovals using the Oval Collection Framelits.  Last she added banners using the Brights DSP Stack.  A pretty quick and easy card that really says WOW — love it.

Ornaments for the Tree

I fell in love with this stamp set when I first saw it.  I ordered it and then it sat on the shelf for months.  I just didn't know what to do with it and it seemed to require so much coloring — much too time consuming for a class.  Then I decided to do just a little bit of coloring.  Here is the end result — I really like it.

Season's Greeting OrnamentThe card base is Whisper White with a layer of Cherry Cobbler.  I stamped the images with VersaMark on a layer of Whisper White and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  I colored the leaves and dots on the ornament with Old Olive Blendabilities and then the center with Cherry Cobbler.  I added a bow tied from Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.  Quite a quick and simple card.

It’s the Polar Express

All Aboard, it's time for the Polar Express.
My husband loves the Polar Express movie.  Every year after we watch it he goes around the house singing Hot, Hot, Hot, Hot Chocolate…..

Polar ExpressMy sister, Tina, did a card similar to this but hers was a birthday card.  As soon as I saw her card it made me think of the Polar Express
(I have been in Christmas mode for a couple of weeks already).
The base of the card is Soft Suede with a layer of Cherry Cobbler that I embossed using the Lucky Stars embossing folder.  I stamped the train with Soft Suede ink on Natural Ivory cardstock and adhered that to a Soft Suede layer and adhered to the card front with dimensionals and two "flags" punched out with the Banner Punch.
I stamped the Christmas Wishes image from That's the Ticket stamp set (which is on the Weekly Deals sale this week) using Cherry Cobbler ink on Naturals Ivory cardstock.  I punched it out with the coordinating Ticket Punch and layered it with two more tickets punched from Soft Suede.  I layered that with dimensionals over a banner of Soft Suede.

So now it's time to go enjoy some hot, hot, hot, hot chocolate and watch the Polar Express movie.  Enjoy!!
