The Tasteful Textures Stamp Set has a wonderful vintage look.  There is a coordinating die set – Tasteful Backgrounds that is loads of fun to play with.  You get fabulous cut out images that creates great textures.  This card is a sneak peek to a class I have later this month and I love how it turned out.

This card is very quick & easy to make.
Stamp flower image in lower left corner of designer paper with Pretty Peacock stamp pad.
Stamp the medallion image twice overlapping in the center under the circles.
I love this greeting — it is also stamped with Pretty Peacock stamp pad.
That’s right, the whole card is just one ink color.

Young at Heart is SO FUN!!

I just received the Young at Heart stamp set and it is SO FUN!!  The sayings are fabulous — Laughing with you is the best form of therapy — this is perfect for cards for stamping friends.  Here’s a card we made at my Fast & Fabulous class last week.

I just love how this card turned out — it is definitely Fast & Fabulous.  The card base is Terra Cotta Tile with a mat of Blushing Bride and then a piece of Mosaic Madness Designer Paper.  These two whispering, giggling ladies reminds me of my sister and I and the phrase is perfect.

Bridal Shower Fun

This past Saturday, my daughter, Katie and I hosted a Bridal Shower for my niece who is getting married September 28th.  Yay, a wedding — we haven’t had one in the family for quite some time — I can’t wait.  Katie was kind enough to offer her house for the shower.  We started the shower with the invitations — we used the Pressed Petals Suite — I love this designer paper.

Once invites were in the mail it was time to start planning the rest of the goodies.

Katie made this adorable sign so everyone knew where the shower was.

The shower was a brunch so we had quite the variety of food including a Fruit and Yogurt Parfait.

This was our favorite item.
It’s a wedding dress made from cinnamon rolls and lots of cream cheese frosting.
Katie made this and she added the flower at the waist using the Pressed Petal Washi Tape – so adorable.

Here’s a closeup of the “purses” we made as favors.
The tag says “Spread the Love”, inside there is a little jar of strawberry jam that my daughter made.
