I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Our weather in the Midwest – Illinois and Wisconsin was a bit crazy — lots and lots of rain. Our Labor Day tradition is camping with family. We just bought a camper and this was our first trip out, I was very grateful to be in a camper and not a tent this time. Unfortunately my daughter and her family were in a tent and I was worried about them through some wild storms Friday and Saturday night. Every thing turned out fine — the days were good for being outside and even going to the beach. Now we all have things to be laid out to dry.
Once Labor Day goes by we know it’s almost time for the Holiday Catalog. Before we move on completely to the Holiday Catalog, I have one more card from the Nature’s Poem Suite to share with and this one is my favorite. The Soft Suede print of this Nature’s Poem designed paper is my favorite!! To get a nice fall feel, I add Petal Pink and Cajun Craze. The leaves are stamped in the rock and roll technique — ink with Petal Pink first and then roll the edges of the stamp on Cajun Craze — then stamp on a Whisper White Stitched Shape circle. The stamped image is layered on Petal Pink and Cajun Craze circles. “Words Are Never Enough” are stamped with Cajun Craze on Petal Pink — trim banner end and layer on Cajun Craze — trim banner end to match. To finish off the card I added an Aged Bronze leaf embellishment.
This card makes a lovely thank you note or Sympathy card.
