To See Far…….Lilypad Lake Stamp Set

Today’s card works for a masculine card or even a graduation card.  I used the Lilypad Lake stamp set again — this time I used the sail boats and words along with the banner framelit from the coordinating Lakeside Framelit set.

I started with Blueberry Bushel base (one of the new In Colors) and then Poppy Parade to help it “pop”.  I used a piece of the 2018-2020 In Color Designer Paper Stack for the banner.  The Stitched Shape framelit helped finish the look for the circles.  The words were stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink on Whisper White and cut out with the framelit.  I attached that to a piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock and trimmed the end around the white.

Peaceful Place Birthday Card

Have you checked out the Peaceful Place stamp set in the Annual Catalog?  The name is absolutely perfect for the stamp set.

Peaceful Place Stamp Set
This set works for birthdays, sympathy and thinking of you.  The creek scene would be beautiful in a frame and hung in your home or office.  I used the set to make a birthday card for my husband.  He loves to going hiking and when I first saw this set it made me think of him and my dad.  I’m not a huge nature lover but most of my family and my in-laws are so I know I’ll get lots of use from this stamp set.

Peaceful Place stamp set, Birthday
This is the card I made for Tony.  I cased it but I don’t know who made the original but what a great card it is.  I sponged colors on to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece Whisper White cardstock — started with So Saffron in the center, then added Cajun Craze all around the whole piece, then Early Espresso (I stayed away from the very center with this color) and then I went back over with more Cajun Craze.  It looked a little funny until I stamped the image with Early Espresso.  I used the Stamparatus with the Clear Mount stamp set because I could ink the stamp up a second time and restamp the image to get it darker.  I love how the center looks like a sunset — beautiful.

I added “It’s Your Day” on the bottom and wrote my birthday greeting inside.

June Masculine Scrapbook Pages

June is Father’s Day so I decided our Scrap & Go pages this month should be masculine looking.  I combined to lake/ocean stamp sets and Night of Navy and Garden Green color combo to create these two pages.

I love the way the pages turned out.  I used the Lilypad Lake Stamp Set and coordinating Lakeside Framelits and Sea of Textures stamp set and Under the Sea Framelits and the Tranquil Textures Designer Paper.

The base of the pages is Garden Green.  I used Night of Navy for the mats and little squares along with Sahara Sand for little mats and Tranquil Textures Designer Paper for banner strip and little squares.  I cut out a sand dollar from Sahara Sand and attached with dimensionals over the Night of Navy Baker’s Twine.  I used Sahara Sand to cut out the net using the Under the Sea Framelits.

On the second page, I stamped waves on two of the designer paper squares and attached the little sail boats from Lilypad Lake that were colored with markers and cut out using the Lakeside Framelits.  I also added a swan and lilypad that were colored with Watercolor Pencils and cut out with the Lakeside Framelits.

I love the way the pages turned out — I think they are great for of your fishing or sailing guys but I also think they work just fine for all of the guys in your life.  I might look for some pictures of my hubby fishing with his dad and brothers to put on these pages or just add some from today as today is his birthday.
Happy Birthday Tony!!!
