Fun with String Art Technique

Oh My Gosh, my stamp class last night was so fun!!!  We made four cards using the String Art Technique.  Many of them have seen cards done with this technique but didn’t know how to do it.  They were shocked and amazed by how fun it is.  Here Heidi, Wendy, Kelly & Cindy are working on a fun wedding/anniversary card where the string forms a heart.

Can you see how this can be a messy project but so worth the mess to make this great Christmas card.  Joan and Cheryl are having a great time.

String Art, Christmas

I used Garden Green and Real Red for this fun Merry Christmas card.  The Real Red Rhinestones helped fill in the white space — so much fun.

Blended Season Miss You

The Blended Season Bundle is amazing, don’t you think?  I’ve been sharing some cards we did made using this bundle — a wedding card, a fall card with blowing wheat and a fall card with beautiful leaves.

Today I wanted share one more card and it may be my favorite.  I cased this card from one I saw while on the Alaskan Cruise.  I just love the simplicity of this card.  You could stamp a sympathy saying, thank you, happy birthday, just a note or here as a Miss You card.

I love the Gray Granite and Early Espresso simplicity.  I started with a Gray Granite base with a layer of Early Espresso.  The Subtle Embossing Folder was used on Very Vanilla for the main layer.  A frame was cut from Early Espresso cardstock using the two larger sizes of framelits.  On a second piece of Very Vanilla I stamped the flowers in the center and cut out with he middle piece.  We added a little bit of color to the center of the flowers with Sahara Sand.  This finishing touch is the flower that is cut from Sahara Sand cardstock and the Stitched Shapes framelits.

You’re the Friend Everyone Wishes They Had

Fall is my favorite season of the year.  I love the colors, the weather/temps, the smells — just about everything about fall makes me happy.  For today’s card I used the Blended Seasons stamp set along with Gallery Grunge stamp set to make this fun fall card to tell a friend just how special they are.  The Copper Foil Sheet gave me just the look I wanted with Cajun Craze accents.

The floor image is from Gallery Grunge stamped with Early Espresso ink, then the greeting with Cajun Craze.  I stamped the leaves image twice on Very Vanilla cardstock with Stazon ink.  One set of leaves is colored with the new Watercolor Pencils Asst. 2 – Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry.  I used the Layering Circles Framelits to cut out a circle surrounding the leaves.  The colored leaves are cut out using Paper Snips and attached with dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots to give different heights.  I added Copper Metallic Thread under the circle layers.
