Nuts About You

This was my favorite card at my Acorny Thank You Stamp of the Month Class.
The colors are just perfect fall colors.
Nuts About YouThe card base is Delightful Dijon with a layer of Soft Suede and then Cajun Craze.
The Very Vanilla strips are embossed with the Boho Chic embossing folder.
The Label Bracket Punch was used for the Soft Suede “tags” behind the acorns.
The striped acorn base and Nuts About You acorn were stamped with Cajun Craze ink on Very Vanilla card stock and punched out with the Acorn Builder Punch.
Punch out an acorn top from Cajun Craze card stock.
Punch out an acorn base and top from Farmers Market Designer Paper.
The Linen Thread adds just a bit of fun to this card

Fall Fest is Only Days Away

Oh my goodness — time flies by so quickly.
It was months ago that we started planning for our Fall Fest Retreat
and now it is almost here!!!
Four of us worked together to plan the big day.
My sister, Tina, and a team member Amanda are holding their event in Edgerton, WI and my daughter, Katie, and I have our event in Woodstock, IL.
042We have been busy cutting card stock, punching, stamping and getting everything
ready for Saturday’s big day.  I can’t show you more than this right now but I will definitely share with you next week.
We have lots of surprises and goodies up our sleeves for all the ladies and one gentleman attending.  I know they will be pleased at the end of the day.

For now, here’s a card from my Acorny Thank You Stamp of the Month Class.
Grateful
This was a fun card.
The base is Early Espresso.
The next layer is Tip Top Taupe — we ran it through the Woodgrain Embossing Folder, then we lightly sponged over it with Early Espresso ink to highlight the bark.
We layered a piece of Into the Woods designer paper onto
Tangerine Tango card stock.  Adhere burlap ribbon banner over designer paper.
We used the Note Tag Punch and Crushed Curry card stock for the tag hanging under the designer paper layer.  Stamp the greeting with Early Espresso ink.
We used Whisper White card stock for the tag on the front of the card.
I punched the tag for everyone but promised to show how I did it.
Tag 1
The card stock is 1 1/2″ wide — insert into the punch but pull the end up through the punch as shown.  Punch — here’s what it looks like so far.
Tag 2
Then insert the punched end into the punch again — pull the punched end up through the opening and line up with the bottom of the punch as shown.
Tag 3
And finally here is the tag.
Tag 4
TaDa — now stamp the acorn base with Tangerine Tango and the top with Early Espresso (right on the tag).  Attach to card front with dimensionals.

Dropping in to Say HI

Have you seen the Into the Woods designer paper?
GORGEOUS is the only way to describe it — it is a must have for fall cards.
The wood grain layer on this card is from this designer paper.HiThe card base is Rich Razzleberry with a layer of Old Olive and then the Wood Grain designer paper.  I used Tangerine Tango and Whisper White for the banners which were punched with the Triple Banner Punch (love this tool).
Stamp the greeting with Rich Razzleberry ink.
Stamp four acorn bases with Ealry Espresso ink.
Each acorn top is stamped in a different color — Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Delightful Dijon.  Punch acorns and tops out with the coordinating
Acorn Builder punch.  Attach the banner and  acorns with dimensionals.
Tie a double bow from Linen Thread and attach with a Glue Dot
