And the Stockings Were Hung

I love when a stamp set has a coordinating framelit set.
It makes my life soooo much easier.
Today's card uses the Festive Fireplace and the coordinating Festive Fireside Framelits (guess what — when you purchase them at the same time you save 15%).Peggy SwapThe base of the card is Pear Pizzazz with a layer of Mossy Meadow and then
Real Red.  The words are from Versatile Verses stamp set — they are stamped on the bottom of the Real Red cardstock with VersaMark and embossed with White Embossing Powder.

The fireside, mantel, stockings and logs & fire are all stamped on Whisper White cardstock with VersaMark and embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Cut out each piece with the coordinating framelits — the main part of the fireplace is cut out with the Heath & Home Thinlits.
Once everything is cut out, I used a sponge or sponge dauber and crumb cake ink on the fireplace & mantel — sponge all over both pieces.  You will get light and dark spots, that's ok, they are bricks.

Color the stockings with Real Red, Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz markers.

I used the Crumb Cake marker on the logs and Real Red and Daffodil Delight on the flames.

Adhere the fireplace to Whisper White cardstock.
Adhere the mantel with dimensionals.
The stockings and the logs & fire are also adhered with dimensionals.

Don't you just want to curl up in front of the fire with a book.

Halloween is Getting Closer

Do you like "creepy" Halloween?
I'm not big into "creepy" — I usually prefer cute Halloween.
This card has a little bit of both.
Do you see the eyes looking at you?
Halloween Branches SwapThe base of the card is Tangelo Twist with a layer of Whisper White.
The next layer is Basic Black that is embossed with the Woodland Embossing Folder.  After you emboss the cardstock, use a sponge dauber with White Craft Ink to highlight the trees.  Stamp the eyes from Among the Branches with White Craft Ink — stamp off and then stamp the eyes so they are lighter.  With Memento ink, stamp the Spooky circle and punch out with the 2" circle punch, adhere to a Tangelo Twist 2 1/2" circle punch.  Happy Haunting designer paper is used for the banners.

I can't wait to mail this card out — hmmm….who gets it.

Witches Hat “Leftovers”

Did you get a chance to make the Stampin’ Up! Witches Hat Kit?
(Sorry if you didn’t — they are sold out now)
It was fabulous — I showed you my completed hat a couple weeks ago.
There were so many leftover pieces once the hat was completed.
I used some of the leftovers and created some cards.
Trick or TreatFor this card the coordinating Witches Night stamp set was used to stamp on one of the tags.  Then it was stamped again on Tangelo Twist cardstock and trimmed to fit on the tag.  “TREAT” was stamped again and cut out and added to the tag with small pieces of dimensionals.  The bird was stamped on Whisper White and yes, cut out and adhered with dimensionals.  The “31” circle is a leftover piece that was adhered to the label with a dimensional.  Don’t forget to add some of the black rhinestone pieces to the corners of the tag.  Little banners are punched from Tangelo Twist cardstock.
One of the black and orange striped banner tags was added inside an envelope for a liner — so cute.  What a great card made from leftovers.
