Happy Scenes Shimmer and Sparkle

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!
Well the decorations are out and abound but no snow.
We've have two snowfalls here in Northern Illinois.
The first was November 19-20 — we got 13" at our house.
Then earlier this week we had a couple of inches.
Now it's 50 degrees again, so I thought today's card
could bring us a little snow
Happy ScenesThis is a swap card I received at Founder's Circle.
I love the sweet simplicity.
The snow was created with the Softly Falling embossing folder.
The trees are from the Happy Scenes stamp set
(it's retiring – did you order it yet)
and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.
This layer is attached to Silver Glimmer Paper and
attached with dimensionals.

Such a beautiful card.
Have you mailed out your Christmas cards yet?
I'm addressing mine this weekend and plan to get them
in the mail early next week.
Are you on my mailing list to receive one?

Textured Dazzling Christmas Tree

Have you put your Christmas tree up?
Today's card focuses on the Christmas Tree
and there is plenty of texture going on.
Dazzling Diamonds TreeI used the Boughs and Berries Embossing Folder for the larger Garden Green layer.
The top layer of Garden Green has the Christmas tree cut out of the center.
I used the Perfect Pines framelits to cut the tree out — the framelits
make it so easy to center the tree right where you want it.
After cutting the tree out I used the Decorative Dots embossing folder
to add a little texture to this layer.
I punched a star from Gold Glimmer Paper (it's on sale until Monday)
using the star from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.
I attached a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Paper behind the tree opening.
I used dimensionals to attach the tree cut piece to give the tree a bit of depth.

Don't forget the Weekly Deals are good only through Monday.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

This fun Red Nosed Reindeer is from the Santa’s Gift stamp set in the Annual Catalog.
I just love him — he is so adorable.
Christy Swap CardThe case base is Mossy Meadow.
The designer paper is the Merry Moments Designer Paper Stack.
I attached it to Tip Top Taupe card stock.
The reindeer is stamped with Memento ink on Whisper White.
I colored him in with the Tip Top Taupe marker and the bow is Real Red marker.
His cute red nose is one of the Home for Christmas Enamel Dots.
The words are from the Lots of Joy stamp set, also in the Annual Catalog.
This is a fun layout and a very quick card to make.
